Great New Submissions

The response to the call for pieces for "The Pin-Up Show" had been great! New submissions since the last post by Catherine Barritt, Sarah Childress, Susan Lunt, Colleen McCarthy, Bibiana Padilla Maltos , Gail Smuda  and Maya VanJeier. The exhibit will be up through February 28th; after that, in exchange for a donation of non-perishable food to the local St. Vincent de Paul food pantry, anyone can leave with a work of art.

"The Pin-Up Show" is pinned up and running

Despite yesterday's snow (and not to mention today's), the pin-up show is installed on two of the wall panels of The Studio. With more submissions promised, I think I'm probably going to have to use part of the third large wall, too. It's so wonderful to have so many artists from so many places coming together to support the St. Vincent de Paul food pantry. The work will be up for the month of February. March 1st anyone can come to The Studio and, in exchange for a donation to the food pantry, take home their choice of a work from the wall. Art is community food, not just for the soul, but also the body.

The Pin-Up Show So Far

Submissions keep rolling in for The Pin-Up Show at The Studio! So far we've gotten pieces of all shapes and sizes from 3 different countries and 5 different states. Because of the good response to the call, as long as there is space on the walls I will accept work. See the call for entry below for the details, or contact thestudio84@gmail.com for information. At the end of February, everyone who wants a work of art can come by The Studio, drop off a donation to the local food pantry, and leave with a piece of their choice. Instead of complaints about starving artists, art will literally and figuratively feed the community.

Participating artists include: Reed Altemus (Maine, USA), John M. Bennett (Ohio, USA), Keith Buchholz (Missouri, USA), Brad Brace (BC, Canada), Pat Davis (NH, USA), Picasso Gaglione (Illinois, USA), Carole Groenke (NH, USA), Cathy Landroche (NH, USA), Luc Fierens (Belgium) Marcia Santore (NH, USA), Melissa McCarthy (NH, USA), Elaine Morrison (NH, USA), Reid Wood (Ohio, USA), Allan Revich (Ontario, CA), Kristine Snow (NH, USA), Andrew Topel (Florida, USA)
